Our stable, family run business that spans 50 years supporting a responsible culture and approach. Inline Logistics is driven to be carbon neutral, we demonstrate this by being accredited with ISO 14001 for our environmentally responsible working ethos. We maintain eco-friendly practises in our office through minimising printing and utilising Microsoft teams for meetings reducing the need to travel, on site we minimise our environmental impact by recycling packaging and scheduling works efficiently to minimise multiple visits from contractors. Sustainability is the core of our business, supporting net zero transition happen through our own drive to become carbon neutral, the suppliers we use and supporting our customers with sustainable and carbon neutral practises. As sustainability technologies evolve and improve these can help us to reduce costs and increase life spans of our products in turn reducing waste, we support our clients by offering a regular risk assessment services for the life span of their assets, timely maintenance and repairs reduce costly refurbishments or replacements in turn reducing environmental impact regardless of the size of the projects large or small. We approach our projects with sustainability as a core objective with some examples as below, in addition to this we also support tree and hedge planting projects to offset any carbon we produce.

Pallet Racking

  • For racking products Inline specify ‘’powder coating’’ as a finish because powder coatings do not produce hazardous waste. The process takes place in sealed booths and 95% of what is sprayed adheres to the metal or is collected, filtered and reused.
  • Powder coating takes place in factory-controlled conditions so there is no on-site impact.
  • Lower cost racking can be achieved using pregalvanised cold rolled steel coils, however the production of the coated steel uses more CO2.
  • We recommend a structural steel post in base of pallet racking with a sacrificial leg as depicted in photograph. The majority of racking damage occurs within the bottom 400mm of the racking upright. The sacrificial leg shown in yellow is easily replaced by a member of staff. This feature saves thousands of pounds in rack repairs as it eliminates the need for scissor lift hire, forklift hire, and a skilled team of 3 racking engineers for a day or part day.

Warehouse Building

  • We encourage our clients to use air source or ground source heat pumps for warehouse heating to provide protection for sprinkler systems.
  • For office areas we recommend electric combi boilers for radiators and hot water
  • We recommend utilising solar and evaporated tube systems to roof areas to aim at net zero
  • We encourage installation of EV charging points for electrical vehicles

Warehouse and Office Partitions

  • For warehouse office partitions we design using powder coated double steel partitions with glass and with ceiling tiles that are 100% recyclable.
  • For office area partitions we design with all glass with manifestation.
  • Powder coated steel framework with glass.
  • Powder coated double skin steel for partition walls between offices.
  • Mineral tile ceilings that are 100% recyclable
  • This design ethos ensures 100% recyclable materials are used and eliminates plasterboard and vinyl coverings which are normally used.
